Hi!!
Thanks for caring enough about your children to take the
time to download this file.
I wrote it to help my daughter out. My wife, who is a
teacher, said she wished she had a program that would be...
well... like "Math Quiz" is.
Math Quiz simply asks for the answers to mathmetical
problems. It starts out very easy but get progressively
more difficult. With the level set to 80 or more, it will
probably challenge most adults.
If you do not have a copy of VBRUN100.DLL you need to call
the bulletin board back and get a copy. It is usually in
the library that you downloaded Math Quiz from.
Some notes to parents:
Math Quiz is not intended to be a "Self Teacher". It will,
however, keep your childs interest, as long as he/she can
answer most of the questions. The way that I use it with
my children is to help them with very difficult questions.
If they seem to have trouble with certain numbers, I jot
them down and later use pen and paper to re-inforce them.
If you want to change from Addition to Subtraction, simply
click on the box with the "-" in it. Clicking on "X" gets
Multiplication and "/" get Division.
You can turn the sound off and on by either typing Yes/No
or by clicking the label. Same is true for Row Add.
Row Add is the feature that my wife said needed to be in
the program. It re-inforces column calculations. For example,
if the question is 10 + 10 = you would type 0 then 2. The
program will align the numbers properly.
That's it!! Enjoy....
Oh yeah, Registration is only $5.00, so please, if you
like it, send me some cash. I'll make sure that you are
aware of any updates. If you have suggestions, please
let me know..
